Adam Hall showed his form as a five-time Paralympian in bringing home two bronze medals in Men’s Slalom (Standing) from the Feldberg World Cup in Germany January 22 and 23.
In his first race back after the break, Hall (Wānaka) backed up his second place podium finish at the same resort last year with two third placings in this year’s double header. The standings remained the same across both races with Aleksei Bugaev from Russia taking gold and Aaron Lindstroem from Sweden taking silver, with Hall in bronze position.
Hall said he was happy with his performances over the two days having come back to Europe after the Christmas break and landing on the podium both days.
“It’s been a pretty successful couple of days,” Hall said. “It’s obviously quite a challenging hill, very steep, and it tested all the athletes. I made a couple of mistakes on my first run that cost me a bit, I had to put some recovery moves in there, but it was good to keep up the fight in the hunt for the podium. We can come away from the last couple of days pretty happy.”
Coach Daniel Bogue said it was a successful event for Hall as he heads towards a sixth Paralympics.
“Adam skied really well, especially today, he finished really strongly and it was great to see his progression across all four runs.
“It’s been good to get the event under our belts, bank the learnings and take those into the races ahead,” Bogue said. “So overall a really successful event, even without the podiums, to see the progression even from Christmas to now with some good training inbetween.”
Hall was selected for the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games back in July. He heads now to Meribel, France.
